Commission for a community leader in NE. She had lost her son and wanted to commemorate him. I met with her and surveyed the installation site. We discussed at length her son and their relationship. It is always so valuable to me when I am able to use my abilities to help someone realize a vision and to know that they gain something very personal with my creation. It is made with ¼ inch thick steel plates that are treated in a process whereby i can control the design and texture of the patina that the viewer sees on the plates and then halt the process at will during the transformation process. Even outdoors, the metal will stay exactly as I have created it to look without any further change or discoloration.
